The first week of July I was joined by a young photographer for her work experience week. Elise, the student, is just 15 years old, and decided that she wanted to learn more about professional photography for her work experience.
The beginning of the week was the first time that Elise had used a DSLR camera and shot in manual mode, so she had a lot to learn. But she picked it up very quickly, and within a couple of days was making camera adjustments on her own to improve the images that she took.
Tuesday to Thursday we spent both in the studio and out on location practicing working in natural light and studio lighting.
On the Friday of work experience week, I challenged Elise to organise and run her own photoshoot. We went to Elvaston Castle as a location and I brought in a third party model that Elise had not worked with before. Thank you very much to NoraBraveModel for doing that.
Elise did a brilliant job of directing the model, choosing shoot locations and taking images, some of which you can see below.

Well done Elise, you were a great student and it was fun working with you.
